BCG Expands Procurement Practice in Brazil with New Specialized Operation

São Paulo, August 2026 – Inverto, a global consultancy specializing in strategic procurement and supply chain management, and part of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) ecosystem, is launching operations in Brazil at a time when companies are seeking to turn their procurement functions into a source of competitive advantage.

A recent BCG study on artificial intelligence in supply chains shows there is still significant room to increase value creation in the field. Nine in ten Brazilian companies are still unable to demonstrate a measurable impact from AI on procurement results, and only 8% of companies in the country have reached the “value creator” stage in AI applied to procurement, compared with 14% globally.

“The procurement function has evolved from being merely a cost-control function to becoming a strategic lever for competitiveness and value creation. This transformation requires a combination of strategy, market knowledge, execution capability, and the intelligent use of technology. The arrival of Inverto expands our ability to support clients along this agenda, bringing to Brazil a global consulting firm with deep expertise in procurement, integrated with BCG’s experience in business transformation,” says Henrique Sinatura, managing director and senior partner at BCG Brazil.

With more than 700 professionals, 22 offices and approximately 5,000 projects completed, Inverto focuses on accelerating value capture and delivering tangible results for clients. The Brazilian team will complement BCG’s existing work in the country, supporting organizations in developing future-ready procurement strategies, optimizing spend, managing supply-chain related risks and implementing efficient procurement processes, using proprietary methodologies and international experience across different sectors.

“Launching operations in São Paulo marks a new chapter for Inverto: our first step into South America and its dynamic economies. We are excited to expand BCG’s extensive service offering in Brazil with our comprehensive portfolio of procurement and supply chain optimization solutions, bringing our expertise closer to clients in strategic markets,” explains Daniel Weise, CEO of Inverto.

Inverto Brazil will be led by Managing Director Cristiano Sampaio Doria who brings a distinguished track record of driving transformation programs across procurement and operations. His experience includes implementing cost reduction programs for leading organizations. As a seasoned leader in the Brazilian market, he will support clients across various industries.

Cristiano Sampaio Doria says: “I am excited to join Inverto and lead the São Paolo office. After 30 years in procurement and supply chain consulting, I’m looking forward to building an exceptional team and helping to grow Invertos presence in Brazil.”

Brazil will be Inverto’s first market in South America and will serve as a base to support clients across the region. The expansion is part of the company’s global strategy to grow its international presence.
